— In-game description

The L85A2 SUSAT is a British assault rifle that takes thirty 5.56×45mm cartridges in a 30Rnd. STANAG, 30Rnd. STANAG SD or G36 Mag. in DayZ.

The L85A2's 5.56mm cartridges deal moderate damage of 3555 blood, have moderate-low recoil, and when firing, have an audible range of up to 80 meters from the shooter's position.

When using 30Rnd. STANAG SD cartridges, the damage is reduced to 2722 blood, the recoil is similar and the audible range is reduced to 0.35 meters. The effective range of all three types of ammunition is up to 300 meters.

The L85A2 can kill a player in up to three shots to the body, or one shot to the head, as does all weapons and ammunition in DayZ. The weapon can kill a zombie in up to two shots.

The L85A2 SUSAT is an extremely rare assault rifle that only spawns at US Helicopter Crash Sites.

As the L85A2 uses 5.56mm cartridges, it has great versatility and quantity of ammunition available. It can fire 30Rnd. STANAG SD rounds, but the sound suppression effect will only apply to zombies; player's will see and hear the same muzzle flash and unsuppressed shots.

The L85A2 SUSAT is similar to an M16A4 ACOG with the ability to switch to iron sights and the ability to zero the scope (default: / on NUMPAD). The SUSAT optic sight can be zeroed from 100 to 800 meters. The iron sights are fixed at 300 meters.

Real lifeEdit

The L85A2 is based on the L85A2 variant of the SA80. A family of British 5.56mm small arms rifles in service since 1985.
