- — In-game description
The M4A3 CCO's cartridges deal moderate damage of 3555 blood, have moderately-low recoil, and when fired, have an audible range of up to 80 meters from the shooter's position. The effective range of this weapon is up to 300 meters.
The M4A3 CCO can kill a player in up to three shots to the body, or one shot to the head, as can all weapons and ammunition in DayZ. The M4A3 CCO can kill a zombie in two shot, but viral zombies require more shots to kill.
The M4A3 CCO is a rare assault rifle that has a 1.05% chance of spawning in Military loot spawns and a 1.36% chance of spawning at Military Barracks. The spawn chances are equal to 21 out of 2,000 and 17 out of 1,250.
The M4A3 CCO has a woodland camouflage paint scheme and a CCO optical reflex sight. The M4A3 also has a functioning mounted flashlight that is activated by pressing (Default: ) and a vertical foregrip that does not affect the accuracy of the weapon.
The M4A3 CCO's magazines are STANAG and G36 Mag. which are common, making the weapon very versatile and ammunition plentiful. NOTE: Update 1.8 no longer allows non-suppressed weapons to use SD magazines and vice versa.
The M4A3 is the flat top variant of the Bushmaster M4 Type Carbine, a copy of the M4 carbine. A gas-operated, magazine-fed, selective fire carbine with a telescoping stock suited for close quarters combat. The A3 variant is almost completely identical to the Bushmaster A2 variant; the only difference being a removable carrying handle. The M4A3 is used by the Czech Republic's 601st Special Forces Group.
