|Patrol Pack (coyote)|
The Patrol Pack (coyote) found in DayZ
The Patrol Pack (coyote) is similar in appearance to the Assault Pack (ACU). The difference is the Assault Pack (ACU) is slightly wider and has a digital camouflage scheme.
The Patrol Pack (coyote) is a common backpack that has a 3.62% chance of spawning in Residential and low yield military loot spawns, a 3.03% chance of spawning in Supermarkets, and a 0.89% chance of spawning at Castles. The spawn chances are equal to 181 out of 5,000, 303 out of 10,000 and 89 out of 10,000.
- Picking up a new backpack can cause the player's existing backpack to disappear rather than being properly dropped on the ground, losing all of the items that were in it. This however, does not always occur, in older version of DayZ this may occur, or it may be an occasional glitch. Drop the current backpack first, then pick up the new backpack and loot the contents of the old one.
- Attempting to place a large item in any storage space (including a backpack) that does not have enough free slots can result in the item being destroyed. In the most common case of storing a sidearm weapon in a backpack, make sure at least five slots are free.
