- — In-game description
The Sa-58V ACOG sports desert camouflage and an ACOG or Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight. The player can switch from the ACOG scope to backup iron sights by pressing on the numeric keypad (NUM PAD), not the forward slash (same key as " "). Like the Sa-58V, the Sa-58V ACOG has a metal folding stock.
The Sa-58V ACOG causes moderately-high damage of 4500 blood, has moderate recoil, and when fired, has an audible range to zombies of up to 149.4 meters from the shooter's position. The effective range of this weapon is up to 400 meters.
The Sa-58V ACOG is a rare assault rifle that has a 1.81% chance of spawning in military Barracks only. The spawn chance is equal to 181 out of 10,000.
The Sa-58V ACOG shares the same ammunition as the AKM, giving it good versatility and quantity of ammunition.
The Sa-58P is the Vz. 58. It is a 7.62mm assault rifle of Czech origin that entered service in 1959.
The Sa-58 externally resembles the Soviet AK-47 but is internally a substantially different design based on a short-stroke gas piston, which shares absolutely no parts with the Kalashnikov design - including the magazines.
The Sa-58V ACOG is a variant of the Sa-58V that adds a Trigicon ACOG scope for improved accuracy and it also sports desert camouflage. In DayZ the variants of the Sa-58 actually can use AKM magazines as well and vice versa.
- The Sa-58V ACOG can be switched to the burst fire mode unlike the other Sa-58 variants.
- The Sa-58V ACOG and Sa-58 CCO are more common than the Sa-58P or Sa-58V despite having the addition of optic sights and camouflage finishes.
